Strong qualifying & top ten at the season finale 🏎️🏁

P5 in my last qualifying session of the 2024 season....! 💪🏻

After my pole position at the Red Bull Ring, I put in another strong performance in qualifying and secured an excellent grid position on the third row in difficult conditions.

Unfortunately, the race ended immediately after an accident on the first lap...!

In Sunday’s race, we only started from 14th on the grid, as we received a grid penalty for my accident the day before

After the driver changeover, I took over the car from my team-mate in 12th place. I was able to match the lap times of the leading group and finished the race in tenth place. With 2-3 more laps, P8 would probably have been possible.

All in all, it was an intense and difficult weekend in front of almost 100,000 spectators! It was crazy and impressive what was going on at the @hockenheimring

Another top ten finish and a good performance in the last race of the season was definitely a conciliatory end to the season, especially after the accident on Saturday!

As the second-youngest driver in the 2024 season, I was able to set some exclamation marks! Including the podium finish in Oschersleben & my first pole position at the Red Bull Ring. That was brilliant!

Many thanks to the entire @hauptracingteam for their fantastic support and to my race engineers and mechanics for their tireless efforts throughout the season. I am proud and grateful that I was able to contest the season together with HRT!

A big thank you also to my team colleague @kwanda_mokoena_racing for the great cooperation and the wonderful “team spirit” as well as to all my sponsors/ partners/ supporters for their support!!!

Schedule for my season finale 🏎️🏁

I am already at the @hockenheimring since midday today and ready for the big final weekend....! 😎💪🏻

I hope many of you come by to keep your fingers crossed for me live at the Track...! A lot of fans/followers/friends have already announced their attendance.... Let’s see if it will be the „Max Reis Community“ record...😜

Thursday & Friday are two more training days on the schedule before things get serious on Saturday.

I will drive the qualifying on Saturday morning and hope that I can build on my performance at the Red Bull Ring.

Thursday, 10/17:

- 09.50 - 11.05 am - 1st free practice
- 02.00 - 03.30 am - 2nd free practice
- 04.30 - 05.55 pm - 3rd free practice

Friday, 10/18:

- 09.55 - 10.40 am - 1st free practice
- 10.45 - 11.10 am- 2nd free practice
- 02.55 - 03.35 pm - 3rd free practice

Saturday, 10/19:

- 10.00 - 10.20 am - Qualifying 1
- 03.15 - 04.15 pm- Race 1*

Sunday, 10/20:

- 09.00 - 09.20 am - Qualifying 2
- 10.45 - 11.05 am - Autograph session DTM Fanzone
- 03.15 - 04.15 pm- Race 2*

*As always, both races will be broadcast LIVE on TV on Sport1. The qualifying sessions will also be shown on the ADAC YouTube channel! 📺✌🏻

Then and now....7 years later… 🤩

In October 2017, I had the pleasure of meeting Manuel Reuter for the first time in Hockenheim during the @dtm.official finale.

Back then, he looked after guests and gave us exciting insights behind the scenes.

Exactly 7 years have passed since then and Manuel has become one of my most important contacts over the past few months.

He is also responsible for driver support at @hauptracingteam and can help us young drivers in particular with his huge wealth of experience and knowledge.

We are constantly discussing a wide range of topics and I can learn a lot from Manuel. Being able to work with such an “icon” of German motorsport is simply a „dream come true“. I am very grateful for this and will do my best to repay Manuel’s trust with good performances.

This week, we were together at the @hockenheimring for my GT3 test day before the 2024 season finale and recreated the photo from back then...! 🤣

It’s simply amazing how time flies and how things develop....in a week’s time, I’ll be competing in my own GT3 races at the Hockenheimring in front of tens of thousands of spectators....

To be able to experience moments like this was actually unthinkable 7 years ago....😇
